Silvio Berlusconi has always had a clearly identifiable image, from the years in which he established himself on the national scene as an entrepreneur and publisher up to his rise as a political leader. Here, two portraits in an elegant suit in which the ties stand out, one of which is embroidered with the AC Milan logo, the club of which he was President from 1986 to 2004

The classic and elegant style of Silvio Berlusconi materializes in tailored suits, worn with a shirt and tie. Setting aside the colors in vogue at the time, the entrepreneur focuses on blue and the Italian artisan tradition. His made-to-measure suits are made by the historic Milanese tailor Ferdinando Caraceni. Previously, there had also been pinstripe suits (right, photo from 1985)

Classicism becomes informal in moments of relaxation and with the family. In these portraits with his daughters Barbara and Eleonora (c. 1994), Berlusconi wears a pullover and shirt with an unbuttoned collar and a loose, sporty pea jacket

From the fields of Milanello, to AC Milan’s training sessions in short-sleeved shirts, to the stage of the meetings of Forza Italia, the centre-right party founded in 1994. Double-breasted suits and cockades are the new uniform

With his election to the Chamber of Deputies in 1994 and his assumption of the role of Premier for the first time in the same year, Berlusconi’s image alongside the world’s major leaders further contributes to spreading the idea of Italian style throughout the world. Together with the jackets with double buttoning (a second skin for him, according to the tailor Caraceni), there is often a polka dot tie, his favorite over time, made by the Neapolitan Maurizio Marinella. The photo is from 2001

The polka dot tie becomes a must in Berlusconi’s wardrobe, who also wears it under a three-piece suit, with a waistcoat, in 2002 on the occasion of the wedding in Madrid of José Maria Aznar’s daughter. At that event Silvio Berlusconi and Tony Blair were witnesses of the wedding

From 2010 Silvio Berlusconi changed tailor and began to wear the custom-made creations of the Kiton brand, representative of Neapolitan haute couture also appreciated by Gianni Agnelli, Charles of England or stars like George Clooney. The attention for Berlusconi’s looks is not only for the clothes but also and above all for the shoes which, already equipped with heels, are said to hide a rise inside. Another obsession of Berlusconi and the observers of his looks is that of hair, lost and thickened, by his own admission, with various trichological interventions. Over the years, however, the hypothesis of the use of make-up and cover-up techniques has gained ground. The photos are from 1994 (left) and 2015 (right)

Silvio Berlusconi’s holiday version remains one of the most relevant from a media point of view. Here, in 1993, he sings in shirt with Jerry Calà and Umberto Smaila

Here, however, he wears a Panama hat to protect himself from the sun in Porto Rotondo, with a blue shirt and no jacket
In this close-up Silvio Berlusconi is portrayed with the famous bandana with which he welcomed Prime Minister Tony Blair to Sardinia. The year is 2004 and the cause of the bizarre accessory appears to have been a recent hair transplant

Hats have been used many times by Berlusconi as a vehicle for messages during his long political career. There are many versions in this sense: with a protective helmet after the Casamicciola earthquake in 2017, with a baker’s cap, with the conductor’s cap worn on the occasion of the first run of the Frecciarossa train in 2009

The Rossoneri wedding ring is the true constant in Silvio Berlusconi’s life who has always shown himself in public with a more casual style in meetings with the team and with the club’s fans. Here he is with his daughter Barbara showing the photographers one of the many shirts dedicated to him
