The artist rose to prominence in 1958, at the age of 19, paired with her ex-husband Ike Turner, initially as the singer of the Kings of Rhythm, under the name of Little Ann. She first introduced herself to the public as Tina Turner in 1960 as a member of the ‘Ike & Tina Turner Revue’ with the hit single ‘A Fool In Love’.
They achieve success with a series of hits, including ‘It’s Gonna Work Out Fine’ (1961), ‘River Deep – Mountain High’ (1966), ‘Proud Mary’ (1971) and ‘Nutbush City Limits’ (1973). In 1976, Tina leaves the musical duo and divorces her. From that moment she began her solo career; in November 1983 she released a cover of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ which immediately became a great success.
In June 1984 he released the album ‘Private Dancer’ and his second single ‘What’s Love Got To Do with It’, which immediately became worldwide successes.
