Well yes: animal fashion is getting more and more luxurious and enters Pitti Uomo for the first time, in the 103 edition which opened in Florence on January 10th and closes on the 13th. In the Fortezza da Basso, at the Polveriera, there are 15 brands dedicated to four-legged friendsincluding accessories, wardrobe items, food, beauty, objects and furnishings

In the new section there are jeweled collars, leashes that look like belts, dresses like tailored coats, sweaters reinterpreted as handcrafted pullovers, bowls that look like designer crockery, toys that look like decorative objects

At the fair, for example, there is Genuine Pet Foodan Italian company that offers a new way of experiencing animal feed, with food made with a healthy and quality production philosophy, thinking of the entire production chain (and minimal packaging)

Space also for kennels and cushions upholstered in fine wool, with Twopointeight. There is also the Spanish brand The Painter’s Wifewhich offers an all-round dog-owner lifestyle project: patterned sweaters, harnesses and organic t-shirts with an eclectic, contemporary and fresh approach

Also present are the luxury collections of Poldo Dog Couture, which since 2016 has been dressing the most chic dogs from all over the world. Then the leather accessories Baurdelle and Frida Florence, the little dresses made like coats and handcrafted sweaters by Emma Florence which uses cashmere and merino wool, as well as cowhide or ostrich leather for leashes

Outside the area in Fortress there is also an exhibition dedicated to “invisible” dogsthose waiting for an adoption, created in collaboration with Poldo Rescue and Mini Minor, who equipped a car for the occasion
