The list of the most influential talents and professionals in the world of Italian cinema is back for the twenty-fourth year and also takes a look at the near future
Pierfrancesco Favino And Gennaro Sangiuliano I’m at the top of the Power List of Italian cinema. The list of the most influential talents and professionals in the world of Italian cinema, based on what happened in the last twelve months, returns for the twenty-fourth year and throw one too look to the future next. It was drawn up by the magazines aimed at the world of cinema, Box Office and Best Movie, respectively led by Paolo Sinopoli and Giorgio Viaro, both published by Duesse Communication and sector leaders in the B2B and consumer fields. In the two magazines, available from the end of August in paper and digital versions, the reasons for the rankings and individual choices are explored, each characterized by specific strengths and weaknesses.
That of the talentcurated by Best Movie, puts the first place
Pierfrancesco Favino, a guarantee of receipts and quality for the films in which he takes part, but also an actor with a productive vision of cinema that goes beyond the simple artistic side, capable of transforming even a difficult and pure genre film like ‘The last night di Amore’ in a distribution phenomenon, through its promotional efforts. Our “bankable star” n.1 (as demonstrated by a Box Office study) will be present in these days at the Venice Film Festival with the opening film ‘Commander‘ Of Edward De Angelis and with the new film by Stefano Sollima ‘Slowly‘, while he has just finished filming ‘Naples-New York’ by Gabriele Salvatores.
In second place in the ranking of talent there are Aldo, John and James. Protagonists of the best Italian grossing of the year with ‘The big day’, they confirmed that the rediscovered partnership with Massimo Venier is also a return to their best inspiration and to the hearts of the spectators. At the third, Paolo Sorrentino, who remains the most important of our authors on a global level and who has recently returned to the set to retell Naples and its public and private mythologies. They follow Ficarra and Picone, who have proven to be at ease (and equally efficient at the box office) even in arthouse cinema with ‘The strangeness’, and are in the pipeline with their new Christmas film. The couple closes the Top 5 (ex-aequo) Alessandro Borghi and Luca Marinellifriends on set and in life, beloved by the public, at the center of the extraordinary result of ‘The eight mountains‘.
