Ferrari has started accepting payments through cryptocurrencies for its cars, for now only in the United States, but in the future this method will also be possible in Europe.
“Cryptocurrencies to achieve carbon neutrality”
“Our goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 along our entire value chain is absolutely confirmed,” Cavallino Commercial and Marketing Director Enrico Galliera told Reuters. “Many Ferrari clients are young investors who have built their fortunes around cryptocurrencies. Others are more traditional investors, who want to diversify their portfolios. Cryptocurrencies have made efforts to reduce their carbon footprint through the introduction of new software and greater use of renewable sources” concluded Galliera. No data has yet been disclosed regarding Ferrari sales with cryptocurrencies, but Maranello assures that the company’s order book is booked until 2025, with 1,800 cars sent to the Americas region which also includes the United States.
