Ferrari, Leclerc: “Exchange with Hamilton? I want to win here”

The redhead driver dismisses divorce rumors

Charles Leclerc swears allegiance to Ferrari with the aim of bringing the Formula 1 World Championship back to Maranello. The redhead driver dismisses divorce rumors and, in particular, those that would like him to join Mercedes in the future, with Lewis Hamilton at the wheel of the Prancing Horse. “It’s important to clarify this well because lately a lot of rumors about us have come out of nowhere, perhaps to put us in difficulty. The team is united, what is said outside shouldn’t interest us, I love Ferrari and I want to win again here”, says the Monegasque rider in an interview with Sky Sport on the eve of the Saudi Arabian GP weekend.

“It’s certainly not nice to start with a penalty already in the second GP, but that’s the past and we have to go on -adds the 25-year-old-, it will be an uphill race, but I like this challenge: we are there and the team knows can count on us.” After retiring in Bahrain, Leclerc will be penalized 10 places on the grid in the second race of the year.

“We had some problems at the Power Unit in Bahrain, but we understood them: I think there are great motivations in the team to go back, we will bring new things to fight with Red Bull, I want to race and do everything to have a good feeling”.
