Fininvest, 100 million in dividends. Board unchanged, Marina Berlusconi president

In 2022 consolidated net profit drops to 200.2 million

Green light for the dividend of 100 million euros to be distributed to the holding companies. There first meeting of Fininvest, after the death of Silvio Berlusconi, began at 5pm today, Thursday 29 June, in via Paleocapa in Milan. Last year, the dividend detached from the Berlusconi family totaled 150 million euros.

Fininvest’s board of directors remains unchanged. According to what is learned, the board of directors has been confirmed. The board thus remains composed of 8 members and is always chaired by Marina Berlusconi, the eldest daughter of the founder of Fininvest, Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away on 12 June. The managing director Danilo Pellegrino, Berlusconi’s children, Pier Silvio, Barbara and Luigi, Adriano Galliani, Salvatore Sciascia and Ernesto Mauri sit on the board.

Fininvest closes 2022 with a consolidated net result of 200.2 million euros (360.2 million compared to 2021). The consolidated revenues of the Fininvest Group amounted to 3,822.5 million euros, in line with the 3,817.9 million of revenues in 2021. The gross operating margin amounted to 860.1 million euros (921.6 million in 2021 ). The Group’s operating result was positive for 248.4 million euros (373.8 million in 2021). The decrease compared to the extraordinary results of 2021 “is partly attributable to the absence of non-recurring positive components recognized in the previous year (effects of the good performance of the financial markets and the capital gain from the sale of Towertel by EI Towers)” reads the a note from the group.

There net financial position as at 31 December 2022 shows indebtedness (before application of Ifrs 16) of 1,072.6 million euros, compared to 962.1 million as at 31 December 2021. The total net financial position, i.e. after the application of Ifrs 16, is equal to 1,232.8 million . In 2022, the Group made investments of 563.2 million euros (760.2 million in 2021). Total consolidated shareholders’ equity as at 31 December 2022 amounted to €4,553.5 million.
