Foreign trade, Zurino (Ief): “Teamwork is fundamental to bring Italy into the world”

Thus Lorenzo Zurino president of the Italian Export Forum during the fifth edition of the General States of Export underway in Alba

Fifth edition of the General States of Export: the Pietro Ferrero Research Center in Alba (Cn) hosts the two-day event dedicated to the themes of Made in Italy and internationalisation, a platform for discussion between important entrepreneurial and institutional players, Italian and foreign. Main sponsor of the event, again this year, BPER Banca. The event is organized by the Italian Export Forum created by Lorenzo Zurino, export entrepreneur for over 4 generations, founder and CEO of The One Company.

“The Italian Export Forum brings together 2067 companies, for a turnover of approximately 200 billion in value represented. Being in Alba, one of the homes of Made in Italy – we are inside the Michele and Pietro Ferrero Research Center – is evidently an honor for us – states Lorenzo Zurino, president of the Italian Export Forum – An honor to be here, to tread on the same land that the great Michele Ferrero walked on, who made Italy great and brought Italy into the world with a Brand. And we do it together with BPER, this is the second year; our collaboration with BPER bank is growing, consolidating, we work well together and are able to form a team. Here’s a word that came out of the first day of work: team. It’s something that is often difficult in Italy, but we manage to work on the things that unite us and not on those that divide us: we put things together, we create a synthesis, we create a group, we help the group to network”.

“The Italian Export Forum, today defined as ‘the Cernobbio of exports’, it is the first think-tank created by companies for companies – continues Zurino – it brings together best practices on a common platform for all those companies, for all those companies and talents who want to sell their product across borders. Because, let’s face it, the financial statements that are better read and perform better are those that have a strong representation abroad. Those who have a consolidated revenue center abroad regularly have a balance sheet that performs better. Through the big ones – these days we have big banks, brands like Dolce and Gabbana, Pasquale Casillo, Marzotto, the Benettons – we try to take the best from those who have managed to scale big, to help the small ones scale” concludes Zurino.

The States General of Export compare entrepreneurs, sector operators and institutional representatives on the topics of foreign trade, startups and innovation. These events are a response to the need to take stock of the export situation and Italy’s progress in the international context.
