After today’s meeting it should be known whether Aditya Mittal, CEO of the company, will confirm the line that sees the multinational leave the position of majority shareholder of Acciaierie in favor of the public shareholder, Invitalia

Today the Government meets Aditya Mittal, CEO of ArcelorMittal, to discuss the future of Acciaierie d’Italia, the former Ilva, but no summons have yet reached the unions.

The meeting between the government and Mittal

The executive had made a commitment to see the unions after 29 December, following the unsuccessful meeting of the Acciaierie board of directors. According to what La Stampa reports, it is probable that the meeting with the metalworking acronyms will not take place today, but will still take place in the short term. After today’s meeting, it should be known whether Aditya Mittal will confirm the line that sees the multinational leave the position of majority shareholder of Acciaierie to take its place with the public shareholder, Invitalia, with the conversion into capital of the 680 million disbursed in the months ago thanks to the legislative decree of 5 January 2023. The majority public participation could represent the new beginning for the company.
