“The president, my beloved Silvio, has always maintained that you are the driving force of our movementthe backbone that supports it, the lifeblood that makes it attractive”. It is a passage of the letter that Marta Fascinadeputy of Forza Italia and last companion of Silvio Berlusconi passed away on June 12thsends to Forza Italia Giovani’s ‘Azzurra Libertà’ event underway in Gaeta.
“Dear friends, young Forzisti, young Berlusconi supporters, I would have liked to be there with you on the occasion of the Azzurra Libertà celebration but the pain for the tragic death of the man I loved, that I love and that I will love for the rest of the year is still too strong in me. ‘eternity, to be able to participate with joy and carefreeness in a political event”, Fascina’s words in the letter read by Stefano Benigni. Nonetheless, also to thank you for the many requests for participation that you have sent me, I wanted to convey to all of you my warmest and most affectionate greetings”.
“The president, my beloved Silvio, has always maintained that you are the driving force of our movement, the backbone that supports it, the lifeblood that makes it attractive. Our youth movement – the expected large participation there in Gaeta demonstrates – represents a unique example in the Italian political panorama: brilliant young people, model students and trained professionals, all sharing an immense political passion, a strong spirit of solidarity and an exceptional propensity to take care of public affairs. All with sunshine in their pockets and, above all, , all authentic dreamers”, he continues, before concluding with a reference to a phrase often used by Berlusconi: ”I conclude – writes the blue MP – with a phrase that was so dear to the President: Whoever believes in it fights, whoever believes in it overcomes all obstacles, those who believe win. And he, believing it, has always, always won. Long live the young. Long live Forza Italia, long live freedom”.
