Forza Nuova proposes the candidacy for Monza to General Vannacci

The far-right party proposes to the general – at the center of controversy for sexist and racist phrases – the candidacy in the by-elections of Monza for the seat vacant after the death of Silvio Berlusconi. Announcement in a press release

While the controversy over his homophobic, misogynistic and racist statements continues, Forza Nuova proposes to General Roberto Vannacci the candidacy in the by-elections of Monza for the seat vacant after the death of Silvio Berlusconi. This was announced in a statement in which it is explained that the Fn secretary, Roberto Fiore, is “the only politician to date to have defended General Vannacci for his book and his words”. “In the hope that he is against the war, and against vaccination madness – says Fiore – I ask Roberto Vannacci to present himself, for Forza Nuova, in the by-elections of Monza. An act of courage that Lombards and Italians would appreciate. Italians want a Revolution Italian”.

Removed from his post

Yesterday Vannacci, 54, was removed from the leadership of the Military Geographical Institute of Florence. A measure taken after the publication of his book with homophobic and sexist contents. From 20 August, he was replaced by another general, Massimo Panizzi, who in the past was Admiral Giampaolo Di Paola’s spokesman when he was defense minister in the Monti government. In an interview on Rete 4, commenting on the removal after the controversy over the content of his text, Vannacci said that “when I was writing this book I knew it would give rise to discussion but I certainly didn’t expect this fuss. I won’t reply to decisions that come from a hierarchical chain. I will do it in the appropriate places”.
