Senator Andrea De Priamo’s idea: “The intention is to dedicate a day to the children, in the wake of Father’s and Mother’s Day”
From Brothers of Italy to… “sons of Italy”. An Fdi-branded bill for the establishment of the “national day of the children of Italy” appears in Palazzo Madama. The idea comes from Senator Andrea De Priamo, who appears as the first signatory of the bill filed on 28 December. “It is a proposal that arises from discussions with some associations that deal with the family”, the exponent of Giorgia Meloni’s party explains to Adnkronos.
“The intention – he continues – is to dedicate a day to the children, in the wake of Father’s and Mother’s Day”. The national day is established for June 15th. “For us, the family is central. For this reason we have thought of a recognition for the children, with interventions ranging from scholarships to the introduction of a national prize to be assigned to those who have become protagonists of meritorious deeds, creative initiatives”. The name of the party, “children of Italy”, recalls the name of your party… “Being a national day, the name is certainly evocative. It underlines the belonging to the national identity”, replies De Priamo.
