From MISE 45 million euros for artificial intelligence, blockchain and internet of things

The Fund for the development of technologies and applications of artificial intelligence, blockchain and internet of things was established by the 2019 budget law with a total endowment of 45 million euros. Projects can be presented that involve the implementation of industrial research, experimental development, organizational innovation and process innovation, aimed at supporting and developing technologies and applications of artificial intelligence, blockchain and internet of things. The decree identifies some strategic priority sectors: industry and manufacturing, education system, agri-food, health, environment and infrastructure, culture and tourism, logistics and mobility, safety and information technologies and finally aerospace. For the purposes of eligibility for subsidies, the projects must include expenses and eligible costs of no less than 500 thousand and no more than 2 million euros.

Eligible entities are companies of any size, incorporated in company form and which carry out industrial activities of production of goods and services, agro-industrial, artisan, transport, services to the companies that carry out the aforementioned activities, as well as research centers. with legal personality. Large companies are not excluded as long as the project envisages effective collaboration with the beneficiary small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Eligible subjects can also submit projects jointly, up to a maximum of five participants for each project. The concessions are granted in the form of a contribution to the expenditure in compliance with the limits established by articles 25 and 29 of the GBER Regulation. It is already possible to preload the documentation required by the call starting from September 14, 2022. Terms and procedures for submitting applications The application for subsidy must be submitted, under penalty of invalidity and inadmissibility, exclusively online using the procedure available on the site internet of Infratel Italia, through the platform dedicated to the initiative.
