Finally released the trailer of Ahsoka, the new series of the Star Wars universe that should arrive on the small screen next August. After whole weeks of rumors, in which the presence of Rosario Dawson in the role of the protagonist of the series has been confirmed, here comes a preview of what awaits us. On the occasion of the Star Wars Celebration, the trailer for the series has finally been made available, giving visitors the ones they have been waiting for a while.

Ahsokathe new series in the Star Wars universe

Star Wars audiences first got to know Ahsoka Tano thanks to the second season of The Mandaloriandespite having already been seen in the animated series Clone Wars And Rebels. Now, however, Ahsoka will effectively star in a television series that will follow her as she investigates “an emerging threat to the vulnerable New Republic,” as demonstrated by the trailer we saw at Star Wars Celebration. Hayden Christensen will play Anakin, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine Wren. Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play Hera Syndulla.

An exceptional cast for a series eagerly awaited by the public. Reportedly, the first season of Ahsoka it should be available on the small screen as early as next August, even if an official release date has not yet been announced. What we do know, however, is that the series was written by Dave Filoni, executive producer together with Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck. The role of co-executive producer, however, belongs to Karen Gilchrist.

Who is Ahsoka?

A well-known character from the Star Wars universe, Ahsoka Tano first appeared in the film Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008). Of Togruta race, Ahsoka was assigned to Anakin Skywalker, with whom she carried out various missions: the search for the son of Jabba the Hutt, the war of the clones and much more. She then, due to a conspiracy, left the Jedi order and reappeared years later under the pseudonym “Fulcrum”.

The new star wars movies and the return of rey

The Star Wars Celebration proved to be the perfect occasion to announce the new films in the Star Wars universe. Lucasfilm has stated that James Mangold will direct a film about the first Jedi, while Dave Filoni will direct the film that will conclude the events of The Mandalorian. In the same event the return of Rey was also announced, the character played by Daisy Ridley, protagonist of the last trilogy of Star Wars. To direct the film set 15 years later The Rise of Skywalker will be Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. In short, a more than prolific future for Lucasfilm, and above all for Star Wars fans.
