Gardaland opens the 2023 season: “Goal to increase the foreign market”

Five novelties of the season: Jumanji -The Labyrinth, Nautilus at the Gardaland Theatre, Milano Moderna in the Legoland Water Park area, Mowgli’s 4D Jungle Adventure and the new CoComelon Meet&Greet

Gardaland officially opens its doors and inaugurates the 2023 season once again confirming this year’s desire to renew itself to offer its visitors ever more surprising experiences, for audiences of all ages. Colorful fireworks and, to stay on topic, a symbolic ‘cutting of the liana’ marked the official opening of the new attraction, Jumanji The Labyrinth, available from today in the heart of the Park on an ongoing basis throughout the season. “With over 3 million visitors to the resort in 2022, we reached and exceeded visitors before the pandemic – says the CEO of Gardaland, Sabrina De Carvalho – this result was also achieved thanks to Gardaland’s ability to innovate: in the last 3 years we have invested over 50 million euros and collaborated with major players in the entertainment world such as Lego and Sony Pictures Entertainments”.

The goal is the same as always: to involve and conquer the whole family with new experiences and unique moments of entertainment. Gardaland, with this in mind, is presenting as many as 5 novelties for the new season aimed at all age groups. First of all, the new attraction Jumanji -The Labyrinth, inspired by the blockbuster film series of Sony Pictures Entertainment: an immersive experience characterized by an exciting story that will make everyone’s cunning the predominant factor of success, making the guests are the real protagonists, creators of their own personal experience inside the labyrinth.

At Gardaland Theater, emotions are freed up with Nautilus, a unique live show, highly emotionally engaging and with a strong technological component, which sees the extraordinary contribution of Cesara Buonamici, the iconic face of Italian television journalism. Guests – surrounded by large portholes and an imposing skylight – will have the sensation of being in the observation room of the legendary Nautilus vessel that belonged to the mysterious and ingenious Captain Nemo, ready to live the incredible experience of underwater exploration in the ocean depths. Strong points of Nautilus will be the participation of the spectator within the show – with live shots that will allow to capture the emotions of the moment – but also the technological component capable of further amplifying the surprise effects and the emotional impact of each spectator .

The Legoland Water Park Miniland expands and inaugurates the Milano Moderna area, a 1:20 scale reconstruction of 11 skyscrapers, the most impressive in the metropolis, faithfully reproduced by expert designers and builders with around 400,000 colorful and iconic Lego bricks. From the symbolic Torre Velasca, to the iconic Pirelli skyscraper, from the colorful Torre Arcobaleno to Diamantone, the Bosco Verticale, Casa della Memoria, the unmistakable commercial area of ​​City Life with its three towers: Isozaki (Allianz), Libeskind (PwC) and Torre Hadid. There is no shortage of recent constructions such as the UnipolSai Tower and the unmistakable NH Hotel Fiera, but the many workers, tourists and citizens who flock to the Ambrosian capital every day are also reproduced. The classic Milanese tram is also a must.

Gardaland continues to invest to strengthen its position as a tourist entertainment destination at European level and to position itself as a top player in the offer of family entertainment, the Park has in fact developed exclusive agreements. Among the novelties, there will also be entertainment at the 4D cinema, where the new Experience® Mowgli’s 4D Jungle Adventure arrives, a special adaptation of the timeless Mowgli – inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book – which will allow you to experience the adventures in jungle through immersive special effects and high definition 3D images. For the little ones of the house, a new and unmissable Meet&Greet arrives at Gardaland: CoComelon Meet&Greet – meet Jj and dance with him! Jj, the protagonist of the famous musical series CoComelon, will dance to the tune of some of the most beautiful songs of the series and will lend himself to take a nice souvenir photo with all the children.

The activities of the Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium continue at full speed, the entirely themed aquarium which houses over 5,000 marine creatures and in which it is possible to take a journey to discover the most fascinating species that inhabit our planet. “Currently – observes the CEO De Carvalho – 75% of visitors to the Park come from all over Italy but foreign tourists are also gradually returning with a predominance of Guests from Germany, Austria, Holland and Switzerland in addition to organized groups coming mainly from Eastern Europe and Israel.
