Gavelli (Danone): “Bringing health with food is our mission”

“The reason we exist is the will to bring health to as many people as possible through nutrition. And it is by following this philosophy that we have decided to engage in this great communication campaign. We are in fact convinced that companies must pursue not only economic but also social objectives. I believe that ‘Listen to your heart‘is a clear demonstration of how strong our desire is to be able to have a positive impact on people’s health “. Fabrizio Gavelli, president and CEO of Danone Italy and Greecetoday at the Catholic University of Milan on the sidelines of the presentation to the press of the awareness campaign on the prevention of cardiovascular risks launched by Danacol of Danone in collaboration with the Agostino Gemelli Irccs University Hospital Foundation in Rome.

“Unfortunately the pandemic has decreased the number of people who have undergone check-ups and checks – added Gavelli – For this reason we wanted to launch the largest awareness campaign we have ever carried out. Entitled Listen to your heart, the campaign combines the scientific nature of the Gemelli Polyclinic, with the enormous volume of data collected, and obviously the studies it has carried out over the years, with the sympathy and irony of a well-known and loved face like that by Elio. By doing so – he concluded – we send a message that is easy to understand, ironic and very direct, despite the fact that it is an important and delicate topic like that of prevention. I believe that what we are proposing is very important and I hope it can also be a stimulus for companies to take on these issues themselves “.
