With “I Will Survive” the queen of disco-music drags the audience to the gala dinner in Versilia
With “I Will Survive” he made millions of people dance all over the world and the other night, exactly 55 years after the extraordinary success of the disco-music symbol song, Gloria Gaynor also thrilled the 600 international guests gathered by Andrea Bocelli for the new edition of Celebrity Adventures in Italy 2023, one of the largest charity events, promoted in support of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.
The 79-year-old American singer maintained her usual grit in her performance, managing to get the audience gathered for the occasion at Villa Oliviero, in Versilia, where the theme of the evening was “The Greatest Show”, with a fantastic circus setting : the guests all got up and started dancing between the tables. Gloria Gaynor also sang “Amazing Grace” and duetted with Bocelli in “Besame mucho”.
Overwhelmed by the applause and emotion, the popular singer said: “I have been performing in Italy for more than 50 years and it is one of my favorite countries. My love for Italy has never failed, as it never fails love of my Italian fans. My every performance in Italy is exhilarating and inspiring.”
Many illustrious guests attended the gala dinner at the Bocelli family villa near Forte dei Marmi: among others, the American actors Gerard Butler and Nathalie Emmanuel, accompanied by Tiziana Rocca. The evening was hosted by Kris Reichert and featured a charity auction. Triumphant performance by Andrea Bocelli who gave the audience some great successes, as well as many applauses received by the American singer Loren Allred.
