Goosebumps, trailers and details on the teen horror series that adapts the books by RL Stine

Little shivers is about to return, in a new attractive guise: television and serial.
After the 1995 TV series and the 2015 film with its 2018 sequel, the new adaptation of RL Stine’s novels, branded Disney+, will arrive next Friday 13 October. In the past few hours, the video has been released which previews what we will see in the highly anticipated teen horror genre show. You can watch the clip both in the video above and in the one at the bottom of this article, to get a taste of what awaits fans of the saga born from Stine’s pen.

The series of horror books for children written by the legendary Robert Lawrence Stine (known above all as RL Stine) will thus have a new version, once again on television (as already happened in the nineties). We also remind you that it is already available on Disney+ Just Beyondthe horror anthology TV series also based on the works of RL Stine.

The series Little shivers it will be made up of 10 episodes and will be released on Disney+ (also visible on Sky Glass, Sky Q and via the Now Smart Stick app) starting from Friday 13 October. The debut will see a launch of the first five episodes as part of the Disney+ Halloween collection, while the other five episodes will arrive in streaming on a weekly basis.

A new adaptation of the works of “Stephen King for children”

There is great anticipation for this new adaptation of the works of the man who is considered the “Stephen King for children”.
Little shivers It is one of the best-selling book series of all time, with over 400 million books in print in 32 languages. The new television series will draw from the five most popular children’s books, among which they are included Photos from the future, The cursed mask, The Clock of Destiny, Creeping Vengeance And The talking puppet.

The plot follows a group of five high school kids who embark on a journey to investigate the tragic disappearance of a teenager named Harold Biddle thirty years ago. The investigations conducted by these young improvised detectives (but still very talented, as we will see) will also bring out dark secrets linked to their parents’ past.

The cast of the new series

Little shivers She is played by Justin Long (Barbarian) and Rachael Harris (Lucifer), together with the young Zack Morris (incredibly namesake of the protagonist of the legendary television series Saved by the bell – Bayside School. The actor has already worked, among others, in EastEnders), Isa Briones (Star Trek: Picard), Miles McKenna (Guilty Party), Ana Yi Puig (Gossip Girl) and Will Price (The Equalizer – The avenger).

Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets) and Rob Letterman (Pokémon: Detective Pikachu) developed the TV series and are executive producers. Hilary Winston (Community), Neal H. Moritz (the franchise of Fast & Furious), Iole Lucchese (Clifford – The big red dog), Pavun Shetty (The Boys), Conor Welch (Platonic), Caitlin Friedman (The Girl from Stillwater), Erin O’Malley (New Girl) and Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives) of Scholastic Entertainment, James Eagan (Legends of Tomorrow) and Nick Adams (BoJack Horseman) are co-executive producers.
