Greenhouse melons ranks FdI: “Report cases that damage party image”

On the one hand the fear of new possible media attacks on the government, on the other the desire to keep the bar straight

“I ask you to report to me in good time every question and every situation that could damage our image as a party so that I can face it”. On the one hand the fear of new possible media attacks on the government, on the other the desire to keep the bar straight, first of all in his party, to set an example for the allies. On the day the Council of Ministers gives the green light to the team of undersecretaries, the premier and leader of Fdi Giorgia Meloni closes the ranks of the Brothers of Italy and with a message posted in the parliamentary chatviewed by Adnkronos, it addresses the elect by appealing to unity.

“Today I appointed the undersecretaries and deputy ministers”, Meloni announces to his parliamentarians, to whom he explains: “Many of you will be directly involved and many others could have been involved in terms of quality and value. I did everything possible using criteria of parliamentary experience as well as in the specific sector. There will be many roles assigned to Brothers of Italy and coordinating with the presidents of the groups I will indicate them following similar criteria “. “Obviously – warns the President – all our representatives in government must be engaged in a qualified and qualifying work of collaboration with parliamentarians and party departments”. Meloni says she is “certain” that “the enthusiasm that accompanies us in these first days will see each of us even more motivated to do everything possible, keeping away from controversies or methods that in the past have destroyed parties and governments”.

Meloni asked the elected officials to “notify me in good time of every question and every situation that could damage our image as a party so that I can face it”. And he recalls “that the Brothers of Italy distinguished themselves from the other parties for compactness and humility”. “The official structures of the party and those that the Presidents of the Groups will prepare, independently, according to the institutional mandate and the political one shared by me are available”, continues Meloni. “If you would like to propose improvements or other forms of organization that involve deputies, I invite you to do so exclusively through the head of the Organization Giovanni Donzelli or the Group Presidents themselves”.

Fdi, the party ‘leader’ of the majority, leaves the game of the undersecretaries by taking the lion’s share. 18 boxes go to Meloni’s party: 14 undersecretaries and 4 deputy ministers. The League gets 11 places, the League 8. But there has been no lack of tensions within the majority, starting with the Mangialavori case. The name of the Forced MP was removed from the final list. As well as those of the Azzurri Barelli and Cappellacci.

In the press conference, Meloni, while not mentioning names, did not hide the fact that doubts emerged in the definition of the team of undersecretaries, which she herself raised in discussions with the allies. Meloni assured that she used the “criterion of merit” for the choice of undersecretaries. “There have been evaluations on the merits but I have not encountered any problems. The criterion was to identify the best people for certain positions. Obviously by mediating. There was the issue of female representation – admits the Prime Minister in front of journalists – and the territorial one, it is never a very easy job, but we did everything in a few hours and where I had doubts, I had no problems in making them present and getting positive answers … “.
