Gruppo Cap, the green utility that manages the integrated water service of the metropolitan city of Milan, is one of the promoter signatories of the “Enterprises for People and Society” Manifesto. The text was presented in Rome by the Un Global Compact Network Italy – the local network of the United Nations Global Compact for the promotion of sustainable development and corporate sustainability, to which Cap has adhered since 2023.
By signing the Manifesto, Gruppo Cap undertakes to strengthen the role of the social dimension in its corporate strategies to generate long-term value also in the supply chain and in the communities in which it operates. The Manifesto is available here. The Manifesto was presented during “The Social Dimension: the commitment of companies for People and Prosperity”, the eighth edition of the Business & SDGS High-Level Meeting, the annual event promoted by the UN Global Compact Network Italy and dedicated to the Presidents and CEOs of the Italian companies adhering to the UN initiative.
“We have always been committed to promoting a corporate culture based on attention, respect for diversity, enhancement and inclusion, explains Alessandro Russo, CEO of Gruppo CAP. As a public company, we believe it is essential to work to ensure a working environment in which everyone can feel welcomed and respected. We have adopted an ethical commitment that commits us in this sense not only within our company, but also with partners and stakeholders and we recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Women’s Council of Milan. By adhering to the ‘Business Manifesto for People and Society’ we intend to continue on the path taken, adding further concrete commitment towards all our collaborators”.
