Popular social game converges in metaverse, will also include features from Habbo X
The Sandbox, Animoca Brands’ decentralized gaming virtual world, today announced a new partnership with gaming and socializing platform Habbo. The partnership will allow communities across The Sandbox and Habbo platforms to come together to explore the metaverse together. The first Habbo experience created in The Sandbox will mark the entrance of the Habbo Hotel and its receptionist, Frank, one of the most well-known Habbo characters. In this new experience, players will help Frank take care of the hotel by completing a series of tasks. The Habbo in The Sandbox experience will allow players to learn about the Habbo universe and history, expanding its narrative with new events and plot twists. The partnership also expands Habbo’s presence in Web3, which began with Habbo X, a socialization platform that will offer interoperability with its expertise in The Sandbox.
