A career full of extraordinary successes and which began more than 60 years ago, that of Stefania Sandrelli, one of the most loved and talented actresses in our country. A career which, however, is in its final stages. It was she who spoke about it, interviewed by Oggi: “I liked shooting Acqua e Anice immensely, but my professional life is about to end. If I’m sorry? But no, I gave a lot, I did a lot. I am only concerned that if I stop working my standard of living will change ”.
With the same sincerity, in the interview Sandrelli also spoke of the delicate moment she is living with her partner, the director Giovanni Soldati. “He got sick, he needed help. I couldn’t not be there, I couldn’t ”, explained the actress, revealing that her partner had to face a long hospitalization due to an illness that made it difficult for him to walk. When the disease arrived, however, the crisis had already begun in the couple: “Maybe now it’s right to do it, right for me, it’s good for me .. When he got sick we had long been tired of each otherI was distracted by other people, he probably as well. We felt compelled to live together.“
The actress added that the last years she lived with her partner were years of renunciation of “affection, a caress”. Despite this, Stefania spent beautiful words for Giovanni, whom she defined as an honest man, unable to pretend: “Maybe he is tired of a woman who is too demanding, of being Sandrelli’s man. Leaving us is something that would be better for Giovanni than for me. I would like him back with me, always, always. “
