Igt Lottery, a company part of the Igt Group, the state concessionaire of all lotteries in Italy, has achieved the European Lotteries (El) Responsible Gaming certification for the fifth consecutive time. The certification was issued at the end of an in-depth examination of the tools, activities and processes introduced in Italy by the Company as part of its Responsible Gaming Program. These activities were found to be fully in line with the international standards established by El for the ten specific areas that require various actions to protect the player from the gaming operator.
Since 2009, the Responsible Gaming Program of Igt Lottery has been subjected to a careful and scrupulous certification process carried out on increasingly stringent parameters by an independent third party to verify the actual commitment of the Company in terms of developing a culture balanced and conscious game based on player protection.
“This Certification makes us particularly proud – declared Fabio Cairoli, CEO of Igt Global Lottery – and encourages us to continue our commitment to creating an innovative culture of gaming intended as a form of safe entertainment, in which the protection of the player is put daily at the center of our work. A commitment based on responsibility for play, a central element of our sustainability strategy and our approach to ESG issues. The recognition obtained for the fifth consecutive time – concluded Fabio Cairoli – only stimulates us to continue along the path we have taken ”.
The Responsible Gaming Program of Igt Lottery, inspired by international best practices, allows you to monitor the entire game management process, with attention to their possible social impacts. Constantly updated thanks to the dialogue with national and international stakeholders. The Program is inspired by various guiding principles, including the prevention of child and problem gambling and support for players who show critical issues in their approach to gambling.
European Lotteries is the independent association, founded in 1999, which brings together the most important State Lotteries and gaming operators in Europe and is committed to combating illegal gaming and promoting a balanced, sustainable and consumer-friendly gaming model.
