Expectations are growing for the seventh edition of the International Videoclip Festival IMAGinACTIONwhich will take place from 19 to 21 September within the walls of one of the most beautiful theaters in Italy, the Municipal Theater of Ferrara.
In addition to the already announced guests (Mauro Repetto of 883, to inaugurate the exhibition on Tuesday 19 together with Piero Pelu And Olly; Diodate And Marco Masini Wednesday 20; Robert Watts Thursday 21), the producer and organizational manager of IMAGinACTION Raffaella Tommasi and the artistic director Stefano Salvati announce the names of the other artists who will enrich the calendar of live events of the leading festival in the music video scene: Alfa, Fabio Rovazzi, Federico Rossi And Sethu.
September 15th Registrations close for YOUNG IMAGinACTION AWARD 2023created in collaboration with BPER Bank. The theme of this edition will be the albums “North South West East” of the 883 of which 30 years occur, and “The dark side of the moon” of the Pink Floyd, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary. The jury of the contest, chaired by the director and artistic director Stefano Salvati and by the television author Dominic Liggeri, will choose the two winners, one for each album. The two video clips chosen for the final will be screened during one of the evenings and their authors will have the opportunity to perform on the festival stage. During the three evenings of the review there will also be the assignment of the Best Italian Video Clip Award 2022-2023 by the Academy of the Festival. The recognition is established in collaboration with FIMI, AFI and PMI. Over 1000 Italian video clips published between January 2022 and June 2023 are participating in the competition. IMAGinACTION wanted to dedicate this new edition to the Emilia-Romagna people, deciding to donate part of the proceeds of the three evenings at Civil protection to support and help the victims of the recent floods that hit the region.
