Instagram launches the Notes feature in Italy: here’s what it is about

Notes is a new feature on the Instagram platform that allows users to share their thoughts in the form of text messages. Specifically, Notes can contain a maximum of 60 characters, including emojis. Users, starting today also in Italy, can read friends’ Notes and write their own, expanding the possibility of sharing their thoughts on Instagram.

You need to update the app

To use Notes you need to be sure that the app is updated to the latest version. If there are no updates available, you will have to be patient, as it may take a few days for the update to arrive on all devices. Once the app has been updated, simply access the message section, choose the followed followers (or the list of Closest Friends) and the note will appear at the top of their message box for 24 hours. Replies to notes will come as direct messages.

A spontaneous way of expressing yourself

“During the first stages of testing, we understood – the company says – how important it was for people to have a simple and immediate way to share their thoughts and start conversations. From asking for suggestions to sharing what you’re doing, Notes offer people an informal and spontaneous way to express themselves and connect with others.
