News for Instagram users: from today all profiles, regardless of the number of followers, can insert external links in their Stories. To do this, you need to insert a sticker in which to type the address you want to post.
Instagram: “We know how essential it is to be able to share”
Until now the function was only available for some accounts, but Instagram has decided to extend it: “We noticed that this function could be useful for accounts of all sizes and types,” explained the social. And he added: “We know how crucial it is for our community to be able to share what they care about most and this new feature can be used by creators to make their voices heard in support of important issues such as equality and social justice. For companies it could be a way to share new offers with customers or, again, for artists it could represent a way to make their works known ”.
How to add a link to Stories
The link sticker, therefore, is now available in Everyone’s Stories. The social network explains that, to add a Link to the Stories, you must first take, record or upload the content in your story, then select the stickers tool at the top of the screen, then tap the “Link” sticker to add the desired link and tap “Done”, finally place the sticker in the story – as you do for the other stickers – and tap on it to see the color options. “In the coming months we will be working on new updates for the Links, which will offer more creative control, including text customization, and new colors,” assured Instagram.
