The Iraqi extremist was killed ”while fighting against the enemies of God”
Islamic State leader Abu Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qurashi was killed in battle. This was reported by the al-Arabiya broadcaster quoting a statement from the terrorist group according to which the Iraqi extremist was killed ”while fighting against the enemies of God”.
IS announces it has a new leader: Abu al-Hussain al-Hussaini al-Qurashi is the new caliph of the self-styled Islamic State after the killing of Abu al-Hassan Al-Qurashi, as communicated by the spokesman of the terrorist organization, Abu Umar al-Muhajir, through al-Furqan, the ISIS propaganda organ dedicated to messages from the leadership. The news of Abu al-Hassan’s death contradicts that of his capture in Istanbul, Turkey, announced in May.
Abu al-Hassan was appointed caliphate last March, but many believed that his was only a battle name and that behind his identity was actually Juma al-Badri, older brother of the first leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
