The experimentation continues, the calendar of the next tests

The testing phase continues IT-Alert. Today, September 19th, the system will be tested in Lombardy, Basilicata and Molise. After the messages sent to the citizens of Piedmont, Puglia and Umbria, and while awaiting the test in Lazio, around 12pm the citizens of the three regions selected today – with cell phones turned on and with a telephone connection – will receive the text sent by the public alarm system which Italy is equipping itself with

The data collected so far, over 1.5 million questionnaires filled out and processed anonymously, are analyzed in detail to verify the causes of the main and recurring problems reported, allowing mobile operators to delve deeper into and review the message sending process , the behavior of cell phones and their coverage, the functioning of devices such as phones, tablets and smart watches.

During today’s test it will be possible to access and fill out the appropriate questionnaire from the home page of the website www.it-alert.gov.it, thus contributing to the implementation of the system also by reporting any malfunctions. Even those who, being in the area affected by the test around 12pm, do not receive any IT-alert notification will be able to fill it in to report this lack.

The next tests at regional level will continue according to the following schedule:

• 21 September in Lazio, Valle d’Aosta and Veneto

• 26 September in Abruzzo and in the Autonomous Province of Trento

• 27 September in Liguria

• 13 October in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
