Italian Exhibition Group Spa (Ieg) is the first Italian exhibition company to obtain the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification for the full correspondence of company policies aimed at workplace equity and the inclusion of all collaborators active within the company. The certification concerns the Spa’s trade fair and conference venues in Rimini and Vicenza, as well as the operational offices in Milan and Arezzo. The score obtained by Ieg is 89.75 on an expected range between 60 and 100, according to the highest recognized certifiers.
The certification process, which ended with the audit by Bureau Veritas Italia, was coordinated for IEG by the HR team, led by its director Silvia Fabbri, together with the HR specialist Katia Calesini and saw the collaboration of IEG’s HSE coordinator Mattia Gasparini for the aspects concerning the integration with the other certifications already acquired by the Italian Exhibition Group.
“With a pinch of pride – comments the president of Ieg Spa, Maurizio Ermeti – I claim a recognition which is not simply the reward for a path undertaken in the wake of a corporate culture which has finally established itself in the business world, but the affirmation of a corporate identity which has always been characterized by a requirement substantiated by rewards and recognition of talents, wherever they are”.
For the president of Bureau Veritas Italia, Diego D’Amato, “thanks to Uni/PdR 125:2022, companies have a formidable tool at their disposal to bring about change in terms of gender equality, spreading an inclusive culture and measuring their commitment to improvement. We are proud to contribute, with our certification audits, to greater awareness on the issues of the gender gap, enhancing the commitment of companies which, like Ieg, can be taken as an example in their reference market”.
Ieg presented the certification body Bureau Veritas Italia a corporate photograph made up of 70% female presence. Women with managerial roles or area responsibilities are 50% and those with delegations over spending budgets are 51% of the total.
