‘Italian society told through web and social conversations’: the Socialdata event on Thursday

Feelings and concerns of a country in constant movement‘ is the event of SocialData, a spin-off of Urban Vision Spa and the SocialCom group, which will be held on Thursday 1 February from 9am to 1.30pm in the Sala Zuccari of the Senate of the Republic. How is our society changing? What are the concerns, feelings and hopes of Italians? SocialData will present the analysis ‘Italian society told through web and social conversations. Analysis, data and statistics of a nation in constant movement’ which will be commented together with Paolo Mieli. The debate will then extend into dynamic panels that will explore the impact of social media on politics, the economy, and the social and educational fabric of our country.

Luigi Di Gregorio, Professor of Public Communication, Politics and the Digital Sphere at the University of Tuscia and Luiss professor; Federico Ferrazza, Director of Wired; Davide Desario, Director of Adnkronos; Maria Antonietta Spadorcia, deputy director of Tg2 and Claudio Cerasa, director of Il Foglio will discuss social needs in Italians’ social and web conversations. From 11am Luca Ciriani, minister for relations with Parliament; Francesco Boccia, PD Senate Group Leader; Maria Elena Boschi, vice president of the Rai supervisory commission; Paola Frassinetti, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Merit; Emanuele Prisco, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior; interviewed by Francesco Giorgino, Director of the Rai Research Office, they will discuss “how does the political debate start on social media? The polarization of opinions in Italians’ social conversations”.

At 12.30 the focus “Italians and Made in Italy in social conversations” with the Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso. The conclusions will be entrusted to the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa. The event will be broadcast live on social channels @SocialDataltalia.
