In an Instagram story Corinne Foxx, daughter of Jamie Foxx, 55, has reassured fans about the health conditions of her father, who was rushed to hospital on April 11 in Atlanta, Georgia, due to a “medical complication”. The following day, the model and actress confirmed the news, which had been revealed by the American press, in a post on Instagram: “Fortunately, thanks to timely surgery and excellent treatment, she is already on the road to recovery”. Three weeks later the same actor, winner of the 2004 Academy Award for the film Ray, had broken the silence on social media with a message of thanks for the affection received: “I appreciate all your love. I’m feeling lucky”.

In the past few hours, a source close to Foxx’s relatives had told Radar Online that the American actor’s family was hoping for the best while preparing for the worst, and that doctors were making an effort to fully investigate the nature of his health problems. Corinne instead denied the scaremongering: “Thank you all for your prayers and support! Next week we will be able to inform you of an important new work”. Foxx, one of Hollywood’s most prolific personalities, had upcoming projects in store, from the filming of the Netflix movie Back in Actionwith Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close and directed by Seth Gordon, at the tapings of the sixth edition of the music game show Beat Shazam on Fox. According to what has been learned so far, the actor and singer had suspended all engagements due to health conditions.
