Joaquín Cortés urgently hospitalized in Madrid. As the flamenco dancer himself recounts on Instagram, a few days ago while he was playing with his children he passed out. “I arrived at the emergency room with a very low blood oxygen saturation – reads his post – since then I have undergone cardiological, neurological and pulmonary tests. I am on antibiotics and oxygen”.

As the 54-year-old Spanish artist always reported via social media, “weeks ago I started feeling pretty bad, I had a cough, tiredness, a headache… Despite this, I tried non-stop for weeks”, performing both in Madrid and in Barcelona. “A few days ago, while driving my son Romeo to school, I started coughing and I was dizzy while driving, I got scared but it passed”, Cortés goes on, referring to another episode in which while he was behind the wheel after coughing “not I saw nothing anymore”.

“I am grateful to all the professionals of each specialty who are investigating to discover the origin of syncope”, he writes again in the post accompanied by a photo of himself in which he appears lying in the hospital bed. “Thanks to all of you for your affection – he concludes – A hug. Everything will be fine”.
