“We are open to any proposal from the trade union organizations but in the last competition for administrative staff at the Venice court the 50 positions were not filled because no one wanted to come to Venice, an uncomfortable and very expensive city”, said the minister at a conference on reforms of the judicial system
“For the recruitment of administrative staff in the courts, faced with the shortage that slows down justice, I see no other solutions than the regionalization of recruitments or the differentiation of salaries according to the cost of living in the individual territories”, said the minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, at a conference on the reforms of the judicial system.
Nordio: “In Venice places not covered because the city is uncomfortable and expensive”
“We are open to any proposal from the trade union organizations but in the last competition for administrative personnel at the Venice court the 50 positions were not filled because no one wanted to come to Venice, an uncomfortable and very expensive city”. Therefore, according to the minister, “either we make special legislation, starting with Venice, or we make regional recruitment or economic differentiation – reiterated Nordio – or we beg whoever has other solutions to provide them to us. We cannot forget that some of these critical issues depend on the fact that in some regions life is much more expensive than in others”.
