Martin Scorsese is once again a protagonist on the Croisette. the Italian-American director will present his new feature film entitled at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival Killers of the Flower MoonThe cast of the film consists of In the cast with Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, Tantoo Cardinal.

Based on the best-selling novel by David Grann and written for the screen by Eric Roth e Martin Scorsese, Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the wealthy Osage Nation, a series of brutal crimes that came to be known as the “Reign of Terror”. After the world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, the film will have an exclusive theatrical release for the first time, in collaboration with Paramount Pictures, limited on Friday 6 October, the French release is set for 18 October 2023 and in Italy on 19 October with 01 Distribution.

It will then be streamed globally on Apple TV+. He was awarded the Palme d’Or in 1976 with Taxi Driver. It later returned to the Official Selection and won the Best Director Award for After Hours, 10 years after the success of Taxi Driver. In 1998 he was president of the jury that awarded the Palme d’Or to Greek director Theo Angelopoulos for eternity and a day. Four years later, he chaired the jury of Cinéfondation and Short Films together with Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami. Since 1990, Martin Scorsese has headed The Film Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the history of world cinema. In this capacity, he has represented numerous films at Cannes Classics. Coming from Apple Studios, Killers of the Flower Moon was produced together with Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way.
