The private hospital in the British capital is the same one where Princess Kate Middleton is located, who underwent abdominal surgery in recent days. The news of the operation that King Charles would have to undergo was given on January 18, approximately 90 minutes after the announcement of the Princess of Wales’ hospitalization. In today’s statement, Buckingham Palace speaks of the sovereign’s hospitalization in a general London hospital but the British media confirm that Charles is in the private clinic where Kate is hospitalized. “Your Majesty would like to thank everyone who has sent their well-wishes over the past week and is pleased to learn that your diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness,” the statement read. The scheduled procedure the king is to undergo concerns a benign prostate condition. According to the BBC, Charles visited the Princess of Wales in her hospital room before preparing for the operation. It is not yet known how long the King will remain at the London Clinic.
