The scent of the final evening becomes more and more intense and Bubu, Edoardo, Hue, Mattia, Roberto and Sara, the six amateur cooks remaining in the competition, see the realization of their dream getting closer and closer. But before reaching the longed-for goal, the evening of Thursday 23 February – on Sky and streaming on NOW – will have the last tough and exciting tests in store for them, thanks to which the judges Bruno Barbieri, Antonino Cannavacciuolo and Giorgio Locatelli will decree who can continue to compete to become the twelfth Italian MasterChef (THE SPECIAL).

The six amateur chefs competing for access to the final evening are therefore Bubu19-year-old student born in Vico Equense (Naples) and raised in Cagliari, then moved to Rome to study Archaeological Sciences; Edward26 years old from Varese, original and histrionic, he gained experience by carrying out the most disparate jobs and also living 4 years in Edinburgh, where his passion for cooking has never left him; Hue27-year-old project assistant for a company that develops cooperation between Italian and Vietnamese companies, born in Hanoi (Vietnam) but Italian by adoption: she has lived in various cities of the Peninsula, from Bolzano to Genoa, from Venice to Florence where she currently resides; Matthias37 years old and manager of a wine shop in Bolzano, who has always worked in the restaurant world and has been to over 300 Michelin starred restaurants; Robert34 years old from Fombio (Lodi) sporty and spontaneous, designer of chocolate processing machinery who after years of second thoughts decided to dedicate body and soul to cooking, following his true passion; Will bea very determined 27-year-old of Moroccan origins, born in Alzano Lombardo and living in Pradalunga (Bergamo), works as a clerk following her mother as a model who raised her alone amidst many difficulties.
The episodes of the Sky Original cooking show produced by Endemol Shine Italy by this evening, are in fact the last obstacle before the final evening. And for the occasion, the rehearsals will be complex and exciting, with two extraordinary guests: after one mystery boxes under the banner of awareness, for theInvention Test the Buddhist nun and chef will arrive in the kitchen Jeong Kwan, winner of the Icon Award at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022, whose dishes – and whose proof – will turn the spotlight on the connection between soul and cuisine; therefore, for the Try outdoors amateur cooks will experience the thrill of the first entry into a (three) starred kitchen, that of the restaurant Mirazur (in Menton, France) directed by Mauro Colagrecothe chef who better than anyone else embodies the role of “global chef of the new century”, the first Argentinian to win 3 Michelin stars in 2019 as well as to reach the first position in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, recently nominated by Unesco as Ambassador of goodwill for biodiversity.
Food as a caress for the palate and for the soul, great emotions and great anticipation for the final rush will be the common thread of this evening, which will end with the tense pressure test from which the names of the protagonists of next week’s final challenge will emerge: which of them will be able to continue pursuing the dream of becoming the new Italian MasterChef?

For years now, production has been adopting an approach in all workplaces plastic free and eco-friendlyall consumer products related to food (plates, glasses, cutlery, trays, napkins) are compostable and eco-sustainable, and collaborates with Last Minute Market to recover the surplus left unused during the registration of the episodes in favor of the non-profit organization “Work Cardinal Ferrari” who runs a canteen for people in difficulty in Milan.
This year, by refining the processes for purchasing, disposing and recovering products and implementing a food waste management system, MasterChef Italia was the first company in the world to obtain the “Food Waste Management System” certification from Bureau Veritas, present globally and accredited by over 60 international bodies, world leader in offering verification, certification and audit services in the fields of Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility. Bureau Veritas has also certified the correct application of the “Green Audiovisual” protocol which certifies the ability to manage environmental sustainability, reducing consumption and environmental impact, reducing transport, adopting a correct disposal of waste and waste generated.
