The trip to Africa of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella continues. Today, Wednesday 15 March, a visit to the “Luigi Broglio” Space Center is scheduled, a strategic asset for both Italy and Kenya in the field of space technologies, research and satellite data analysis. Then, Mattarella will return to Nairobi, where in the evening he will greet the diplomatic staff and meet the Italian community in Kenya. Yesterday the meeting was held with the Kenyan president William Ruto, at the end of which the head of the Quirinale raised a double alarm: that of climate change, in particular drought, which worsens the already serious migration crisis.

Together with Mattarella, the Luigi Broglio Space Center will also be attended by the president of the Italian Space Agency, Giorgio Saccoccia, the Kenyan Defense Minister Aden Bare Duale and the president of the Kenyan Space Agency, General James Aruasa. The Center is managed by ASI (Italian Space Agency) and is owned by the La Sapienza University of Rome.
