Meloni: “We will last 5 years”. And he quotes Garibaldi: “Either you make Italy or you die”

The prime minister at the Brothers of Italy event in Milan “Ready, candidates to go” talks about the next regional ones: “Lombardy’s response is very important, we can go back to having the same vision in Lombardy as in the government”. Then he adds: “Our priority is growth. What we will be facing will be a complex period, but this scenario full of crisis must not prevent us from looking to the future with optimism”. And he reiterates: “Presidentiality remains our priority”

“I hope and I am sure that we will have these five years, despite the opposition and beyond”. To say it is the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who, in connection with the Milanese event of the Brothers of Italy “Ready, candidates to go”, also quotes Garibaldi: “I remember that phrase attributed to Garibaldi: Italy is made here or dies, I think so”. And on the next regional elections he adds: “Our adventure has just begun, the response of Lombardy is very important. It is an opportunity to demonstrate how to do better: we can go back to having the same vision in Lombardy as in the government”.

“The crisis must not prevent us from looking to the future”

Speaking again of the government, Meloni says: “There is no day and there is no hour in which we do not put all of ourselves into this commitment: we will do what needs to be done, with courage and determination, what is right in conscience. I’m interested in knowing the economic data, the birth rate, productivity in 5 years’ time”. And he adds: “What we will be facing will be a complex period, but this scenario full of crisis must not prevent us from looking to the future with optimism: we must move from crisis management to thinking big, having the courage for the long term. Now plan and accomplish many things and results in the end. The horizon is our theme of strength”.

“We have no time to waste”

Meloni then talks about the trend of the economy: “The spread is at 182, the stock market did more than well, the difference is seriousness, the determination of this government that has no bosses and we don’t have to thank anyone, we answer only to the Italian people, without necessary compromises, without slowness with speed, with a basic vision. Our priority is growth”. And he underlines: “We have no time to waste, we want to unblock the works, eliminate bottlenecks that also afflict Lombardy and Milan, we want to support companies”.

“Presidentialism remains our priority”

“Presidentialism remains our priority – Meloni continues – it is a commitment we want to keep. We want to talk to everyone but we want to honor that mandate”.
