Not a simple artistic event, but an opportunity of a meditative nature, to reflect on what we are experiencing

In these years of pandemic and war, the search for the common good, the drive to take care of the most vulnerable, the commitment to safeguard fraternity, the duty to leave a future to the next generations, risk being obscured. The occasion to understand that we can treasure the experience to build a better world can come from the universal language of art.

The opportunity to take care of others joins the opportunity for spirituality offered with Memorare. The cold plan of the Municipality of Bologna for the homeless in the coldest season, sees the collaboration of some parishes, which open reception spaces in the winter months. Through a free offer that some volunteers of the Diocesan Caritas collect at the entrance of San Petronio, it will be possible to contribute to the increased heating costs due to the energy crisis of recent months.

At the opening the solo The Death of the Swan (composed by Michail Fokin for Anna Pavlova), during the pandemic it became a symbol of suffering and resistance. Reposted from one social network to another, streamed everywhere, the solo was the engine of a fundraiser which dancers from all over the world joined. To interpret it Letizia Masini, very young dancer of the Corps de Ballet of the Teatro alla Scala. Cinzia Campagnoli on harp and Eva Zahn on cello perform live the piece Il Cigno, taken from the Carnival of the animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.
