New shipwreck off Lampedusa. 46 were rescued by the men of the Port Authority. According to the story of the shipwrecked there would, however, be three missing. 13 women and 7 minors were also on board the sea cart.

During the night in Lampedusa, where for days, thanks to the favorable weather conditions, there have been six landings, starting from midnight with 299 people arriving in a few hours. The men of the Coast Guard and the Guardia di Finanza intercepted the sea carts on which groups of 46, 48, 42, 36, 45 and 82 people were traveling. Among them also over fifty women and about 20 minors. After an initial health triage, they were taken to the hotspot in the Imbriacola district, where despite the massive transfers of migrants arranged by the Prefecture of Agrigento in agreement with the Viminale, the presences exceed 2,200 against a capacity of 400 places.

The 28 migrants for whom Alarm Phone had launched an SOS yesterday were rescued and taken to Pozzallo, in the Ragusa area. “We are in contact with a group of 28 people in difficulty in the search and rescue area shared by Malta and Italy”, the NGO reported. The castaways were all rescued. “We are relieved and hope they can find some rest now,” Alarm Phone says.
