As with the previous collections, also in Spring/Summer 2024 Martens presents both men’s and women’s garments, a co-ed collection permeated by an irreverent and genderless spirit

On the catwalk – a platform covered in the iconic red behind which looms a twenty-six meter long maxi screen that shows the details of the looks – models parade dressed in jeans, latex, lycra and leather looks, sprayed with colored and metallic paint. Bosses have an effect used and they are all worked heavily to offer a rebellious and refined image

The dresses, tank tops and fringed trousers worked with a very refined technique are captivating devoré. The torn creations, reduced to shreds, reveal the naked body. Martens never loses sight of the seduction factor, the driving force of its stylistic research

The explosion of preconceptions theorized and put into practice by Martens – on fashion, denim and couture and on what is acceptable and desirable – also becomes an explosion of paint material that ends up on the garments and on those who wear them

The creations that follow one another on the catwalk are increasingly refined. The lacerations transform into fringes and then into composing networks net look mind-boggling

Halfway through the presentation the creations become more and more lunar. Denim makes room for latex and chiffon, the colors are silvery and reflect the light. The underwear is visible and is incorporated into the dress

The slip is the key element of these dresses, tone on tone or contrasting. The imperative is to seduce in a brazen way. The beauty look with silver and bronzed skin enchants the Fashion Week audience
