Milan-Inter, Pioli: “Derby Champions is the most difficult”

Rossoneri with the doubt Leao

“It’s the most difficult derby, because it’s a Champions League semi-final. But it’s also beautiful to prepare for, to experience, to play.” Milan coach Stefano Pioli says so on the eve of the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter. “I tried to convey concentration and happiness to the team to experience these moments. Then it is clear that tomorrow we will have to give our all to try and obtain a very important result. We play over 180 minutes and we will have to take that into consideration”, added Pioli in the press conference.

“We know where we come from and where we want to go. When a working group prepares things with concentration it’s ideal, this helps to have serenity. The coach’s job is also important in transmitting mental energy to the team. We face a strong opponent, we have 180 minutes to manage. We’re fine and we’re ready: we need a top-level match against Inter,” he added to Sky Sport.

Pioli and Milan have to solve the Leao puzzle: “If he were to come on the bench, it would mean that he can play. He must be 100% and everything is still open. Tomorrow morning he will try to push and then we will decide”.
