On the banner the writing ‘But what merit, yours is only violence’
A black banner and upside-down photos of the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and the Minister of Education, Giuseppe Valditara, appeared this morning in front of the Carducci classical high school in Milan, in via Beroldo, near piazzale Loreto. The banner read ‘But what merit, yours is only violence’.
“The usual social centers have hung posters in front of the Carducci high school depicting the Minister of Education Valditara and Prime Minister Meloni upside down – comments Alessandro Verri, group leader of the League at the Milan City Council and youth manager of the Lombardy League – It is an unworthy gesture that absolutely must be punished”.
The deputy of the Brothers of Italy and vice president of the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the Chamber, Riccardo De Corato, underlines: “I find the fact very serious regardless. Even more serious because it is a structure that should be educational: I don’t quite understand which education provides to students. I would not want the training to be that of political hatred towards the adversary which would set Italy back a few decades. Secondly, in that banner, there is all the hypocrisy of the Italian left. I dare not imagine what the reaction of Mayor Sala, of the Democratic Party and in general of the left and of the radical chic would have been, if Elly Schlein had been in place of Giorgia Meloni “.
“The banner that appeared this morning at the Carducci classical high school in Milan, which portrays the President Giorgia Meloni and the Minister Giuseppe Valditara upside down, leaves you astonished – declares the Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini – The violence of words has no less weight of physics and contributes to fueling a climate of tension even in schools and universities which must absolutely be diluted. I say to the students: don’t let anyone exploit you”.
Debora Serracchiani, Pd group leader in the Chamber, says: “The banner that appeared this morning in front of the Carducci high school in Milan with the president Meloni and the minister Valditara upside down is serious and unacceptable. We strongly condemn and express full solidarity with Meloni and Valditara ” .
