Minister Urso: “Support for petrol and bills, focus on the less well-off”

The Minister of Business and Made in Italy announced that he will discuss with Giorgetti and the other competent ministers “to understand and choose how to intervene in such a way that especially the less well-off classes receive the support of the public system and therefore of the government”

A meeting between the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti and the other competent ministers was announced by Urso himself to discuss bills and petrol, “in such a way that especially the less well-off classes receive the support of the public system and therefore of the government”.

“Support for less well-off classes”

Speaking about the increases in gas and petrol tariffs, Urso stated that the bills are “under the attention of the government as well as the increase in fuel prices. We will have a discussion with Minister Giorgetti and the other competent ministers to understand and choose how to intervene in such a way that especially the less well-off classes receive the support of the public system and therefore of the government”. The minister then declared that “the united Italy system will participate in this quarter of inflation to contain the prices of consumer goods, not just food, from October 1st to December 31st. I am very satisfied, I believe that this is a success of the Italian system”. At the end of the meeting with the leaders of Federalimentare, Unionfood, Centromarca and Ibc, Urso spoke of “the collective effort of the country system to contain prices. We appreciated – he underlined – the will of the associations that will participate in the anti-inflation pact together to distribution, traders, retailers, large-scale retail trade and also to other business associations”.
