In 21 for a crown, that of “Miss Italy” 2022: in fact, there will be twenty-one candidates for the title that will be awarded in tomorrow evening’s final in Rome in the multimedia congress center of the Crowne Plaza Rome St. Peter’s hotel on the Aurelia Antica. The misses represent the entire national territory, one for each region plus Miss Rome, a tribute to the capital that hosts the event, chosen during the pre-finals which took place in the Marche region, in Fano, at the end of hundreds of regional selections.
The show will be broadcast in streaming, starting at 7 pm, on the “Miss Italia” website and social channels:Facebook, Instagram, YouTube. For the first time, since 1946, the show will be presented by a journalist, Salvo Sottile, host of the show ‘I Fatti Vostri’ on Rai2, directed by Giuseppe Sciacca, while the authorial part is curated by Casimiro Lieto, the choreography are signed by Giampiero Gencarelli together with the dancers Oreste Gaudio and Tommaso Stanzani.
The actor will choose the new “Miss Italy”. Massimo Boldi in the role of jury presidentthe actress and acting teacher Fioretta Mari and the radio presenter Francesca Manzini, who will also do a comic interlude, while the actor and imitator Antonio Mezzancella will also intervene.
In the wake of the transformation launched during the last edition, the misses will not wear bands or race numbers: they will not be involved in the classic catwalk but will dialogue with the jury, with whom they will be called to interact in the various stages of the live broadcast. The number of finalists will increase from 21 to 3 competitors shortly before the final choice. At the end of the evening Zeudi di Palma, ‘queen’ of the edition held last February, will hand over the crown to the new winner.
