Qualcomm has launched iSims (Integrated Sim): the new technology allows a smartphone processor to already integrate everything needed to activate a data and voice plan with supported operators. In fact, there will be no more mobile phones with a physical SIM card tray. Unlike eSims, the dedicated chip will not be needed because it is already present in the central hardware of the smartphone. The first platform capable of supporting iSim is the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 2 system, the result of collaboration with Thales and Vodafone
