Violent assault against a 22-year-old disabled boy of Egyptian origins. The agents, who intervened in via Buonarroti, noticed a small group of people and blocked a man who, despite the intervention of the policemen, he tried to free himself by continuing to curse a boy, insulting him for the color of his skin and his disability. The attacker has been identified as a 47-year-old resident of the city and already affected by numerous reports of crimes against the person and property. According to what was reconstructed by the police, the boy was traveling sitting on a bus when he was approached by a man who, after staring at him, yelled at him racial insults for the color of his skin, threatening to beat him.
The boy, disabled, scared, phoned his father to ask him to wait for him at his bus stop. Later, after noticing the attacker getting off at the previous stop, he called his father back to tell him that it was no longer necessary for him to join him. However once he too got off the bus and started walking on via Buonarroti, he was reached from behind by the man who started to push him until he fell to the ground, insulting him for the color of his skin. The father of the victim, who arrived at the scene anyway, tried to put an end to the violence but the attacker punched the young man on the left side of the face. The agents investigated the 47-year-old in a state of freedom at the Monza Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crimes of injury, beatings and insults aggravated by racial hatred and impaired defense, activating the “Red Code” procedure.
The questore of the province of Monza and Brianza, Marco Odorisio, immediately activated the Anti-Crime Police Division ordering the application of the personal prevention measure of the oral warning against the 47-year-old who, as the police reports, “turned out to have been already convicted and reported, for various reasons, for crimes relating to drugs, money laundering, aggravated theft, personal injury, damage, insults”.
