The race crossed the borders of Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland before closing in Washington DC
The 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA 2023 has ended, the 1000 Miglia style event which, based in the town of Middleburg, crossed the borders of Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland before closing in Washington DC. The first day was dedicated to theoretical and practical training: the freezing wind did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants who, on the curves of the Summit Point circuit, completed test laps, measuring themselves with chronometers and pressure switches to then try their hand at the Micro 1000 Miglia Trophy , first sailing test with the Roadbook and first victory for Shawn and Leanne Till.
The autumn sun has colored the panoramas of the Shenandoah National Park, still dressed in warm colors with postcard views and glimpses and, in the three days of the USA Cup, the race led the 24 crews to travel approximately 800 kilometers through the vineyards of Barboursville Vineyardsthe estate of vines of Italian and French origin that produces award-winning wines, the Beverly Equestrian Polo Center, an immense estate and paradise for riders and Polo players, and the Congressional Country Club of Bethesda, where the greens of the golf courses, over hosting the major international tournaments, it is an exclusive meeting and business place for politicians and businessmen.
Sixty-four timed trials and ninety secret media surveys engaged the crews in the sporting part of the event which saw the peak of public enthusiasm in the 1 vs 1 challenge held in the center of Middleburg with Marx-Inderbitzi winners on Till-Till. The coincidence with an event linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East suggested the modification of the city route in Washington DC which brought the crews directly to the Italian soil of the Italian Embassy in the US, welcomed and rewarded by Ambassador Mariangela Zappia first of the last sector of the race towards Middleburg.
