After the world premiere in Paris last November 14, the cast and filmmakers of Napoleon they moved to London for a preview of the film which will be released in cinemas in the United Kingdom on November 22nd (one day before in Italy). Phoenix has read many volumes to delve deeper into the figure of Bonaparte in this story which aims to make the public discover a new emotional side of the legendary leader who proclaimed himself emperor of the French. However, the actor clarified that this is Scott’s version of Napoleon, it is an entertainment film and does not claim to be a documentary

Ridley Scott cast Joaquin Phoenix in Napoleon after seeing Joker

Napoleon it’s a biopic. The focus on Bonaparte’s private life shifts attention to Joséphine, the general’s first wife, a woman capable of upsetting the emotional balance of the valiant leader. Kirby admitted that she had read a lot about this figure which particularly intrigued her. Obviously she put something of herself into the character which, apparently, was greatly appreciated by those who have already seen the film

Vanessa Kirby is an actress with an impeccable and enviable style and for the London premiere she chose an evening dress from the British brand par excellence: Vivienne Westwood. The one-shoulder dress with draping and a wide, structured neckline is reminiscent in style of those worn by her character on screen. Her jewels are Cartier, the styling is by Karla Welch

Scott, for his part, had wanted to work with Phoenix since the days of Gladiator in which the actor had a part. It took two decades before calling Phienix for the role that seemed right to him

Scott walked the red carpet with Giannina Facio, actress and film producer, as well as his wife since 2015. At the premiere she also showed off an evening dress completed with a short military-style jacket similar in style to those seen in the film
