The return of the films released in theaters

The choices of this 77th edition, after the years of opening up to the cinema also offered by the platforms, return to the films exclusively released in theaters from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2023: to support cinemas in crisis this year more than ever, special attention goes to the #soloalcinema initiative with the participation of the Nastri d’Argento in “Cinema Revolution”, the promotional campaign of the Ministry of Culture which throughout the summer will allow Italian and European films to be seen at the cinema at the single price of 3.50 euros, an initiative for which Film Journalists are asking distributors and exhibitors to to bring back the candidate titles from the Nastri d’Argento. And precisely to promote the youngest talent, the Nastri, alongside the great auteur cinema, right from the nominations they signal the quality even among many titles that have not had the time to consolidate the relationship with the audience. For this reason, exceptionally, there are 6 and not 5 nominations for first works, subjects and for songs that increasingly contribute to strengthening the bond between cinema and its audience.
